Puerto Varas is a Chilean commune, located in the Province of Llanquihue in the Los Lagos Region, on Lake Llanquihue, in the Patagonia Chilena.
It consists of about 32,000 inhabitants and about 70 meters above sea level stands, Llanquihue lakeshore. It was formed from the German colonization with immigrants who settled in around estelugar the years 1852 and 1853. The city is always hadestacado for its relationship with tourism, offering beautiful natural scenery, good food, beaches, natural parks, fishing fly proximity of spas and sporting activities in the surrounding area such as mountain climbing, skiing, golf, water sports, kayaking, horseback riding and canoping. There are also hunting deer.
